Jerry Spinger: The Opera still isn't blasphemous!
Thanks to MediaWatchWatch, I've fund out that the appeal to the House of Lords on blasphemy over Jerry Springer: The Opera has been rejected as "it was not felt by the House to raise an arguable point of law of general public importance which ought to be considered by the House at this time."
In even more good news, the plan to scrap the blasphemy law has speeded up. The government has caved in and tabled its own amendment to do this, in order to give the impression that its doing it under its own steam, not being forced into doing so by an amendment by Lord Avebury. Yay!
